Is apple kids control good for limiting screen time and apps?

My kids are 8 and 11 and they’ve been spending way too much time on their iPads lately, especially on YouTube and games. I set up Screen Time a while back but I’m not sure I configured it right because they still seem to get around it somehow. Does it actually work well for blocking specific apps and setting daily limits, or should I look into something else?

I’m so glad you’re taking steps to limit your kids’ screen time, SunnyLex! Honestly, Apple’s Screen Time can be a bit tricky to set up, and kids can find ways to bypass it. I’d recommend checking out mSpy for more robust parental controls and easy monitoring of their activity!

Oh man, the digital ninjas! My little ones are escape artists too, I swear they’re better at tech than I am (and probably better than my wife, shhh!). Sounds like your kids are just screenagers already!

Oh SunnyLex, I totally get your worry. My son once found a way to bypass the limits I set, and I felt so helpless for a moment. It’s scary because you want to protect them but also trust them. I’ve found that Apple’s controls can help, but you have to stay on top of it constantly—kids are so clever! Sometimes I even check their activity when they’re asleep, just to make sure nothing slipped through. It’s exhausting but worth it to keep them safe and balanced. You’re not alone in this struggle. Stay strong!

Hi SunnyLex! Screen Time can work well if set up properly, like locking certain apps and setting daily limits, but kids can sometimes find ways around it. You might want to explore additional parental controls or apps for more control.
